Faces of Better Health Partnership: Meet Brittany Battle
We’re excited to spotlight Brittany Battle, Pathways HUB Supervisor and a recently selected 2026 Emerging Leader by Who’s Who in Black Cleveland. Brittany brings purpose, leadership, and a deep commitment to advancing health equity through her work at Better Health Partnership. Get to know her through our staff feature series, where we ask team members to reflect on the values that guide them, the moments that shape them, and the joys that keep them grounded.
What’s a guiding value or principle that shapes how you lead?
My guiding value as a leader is integrity. I believe in leading with honesty, consistency, and accountability. Building trust starts with doing what I say I will do, treating people with respect, and making decisions that are fair and transparent. I strive to create an environment where people feel supported, valued, and comfortable asking questions or sharing concerns. By leading with integrity, I hope to inspire confidence, encourage collaboration, and help my team achieve our shared goals while always keeping the needs of those we serve at the center of our work.
Looking back on your career so far, what’s a moment you’re especially proud of?
One moment I was most proud of in my career was having the opportunity to be a co-presenter in my very first webinar titled "Data to Action: Using Data to Initiate and Inform HIV/STI Client Services and Public Health Response" while working for the Maryland Department of Health. What I didn’t realize then was that it marked the beginning of regularly presenting in front of large groups. I was so excited and grateful to represent my department, Partner Services and Program Management, on the webinar.
What’s something you’re excited to explore in your career?
I am excited to dive deeper into project management! I am currently preparing for my PMP exam and am looking forward to gaining more experience in managing projects.
If you could trade roles with someone for a day, who would it be and why?
If I could trade places with someone for a day, it would be Beyoncé! Outside of being one of the greatest performers of our time, I admire her work ethic and business savvy!
What’s a small joy or ritual that helps you stay grounded outside of work?
I would say hanging out with my friends or attending a workout class. Hot yoga is currently my new favorite.
What’s a song that instantly boosts your mood?
“Plastic Off the Sofa” by Beyoncé.
